Dr. Jordan take a strengths-based and holistic approach to therapy and mental health, working to create a calm and encouraging atmosphere for personal growth and relational healing. She works well with people who are intellectually curious and enjoy the pursuit of insight development, and especially enjoys working with couples and families. It is Dr. Jordan's calling and joy to support people as they heal relationships, restore connection, and effect sustainable positive change in their lives. Specific clinical interests include: couple and family communication and functioning, life transitions, addiction, parenting, women's issues, anxiety and depression, and trauma.
Dr. Jordan serves as director of graduate studies and teaching faculty in the Integrated Behavioral Health program at the University of Minnesota. She has been a therapist for 10 years, and is an AAMFT and Minnesota Board Approved Supervisor working with pre-licensed mental health professionals. Dr. Jordan remains committed to increasing access to care in areas with lower saturation of providers, with rural mental health being an area of research and clinical expertise.
